These housings are lightweight and fire resistant, making them easy to install. However, you can't install them in a room with a high moisture content because they could blister.
Roof

(202) The main difficulty of this technique is to seal the barrier against the top wall plate, especially on the eaves, where there is little room for maneuver.This area must be well sealed. Aerosol foam insulation or rigid cardboard can help bridge the gap in this area. Cut rigid boards so that they fit between the ceiling beams and extend from the top plate of the outer wall to the attic. A second piece of rigid insulation, installed vertically, attaches the polyethylene to the horizontal rigid plate.
Carefully seal any joints or joints between the materials. Expansive two-part spray foam kits (or the services of an aerosol foam company) are also great for sealing areas around beams and boards. A contractor can densely pack the space between the roof and the roof with loose cellulose or fiberglass insulation materials. Uninsulated areas will cause a cold spot where the wall and ceiling meet, which can lead to moisture and mold problems.

In an attic insulation project, I have seen that the usual thing is to install ventilation grilles in ridges so as not to restrict the flow of air between the ceiling and some other ventilation located higher than the roof line. A gypsum cover, or drywall, has a low R value, so you'll have to combine it with additional insulating materials if you live in a colder climate. The insulation can be cut so that it is around the rafters and joists of the roof, but it will not provide the same sealing as the spray foam insulation. If there are obstructions above the beams, such as in a truss roof, it may be easier to place insulating slats in the joist spaces and then use loose fill insulation to create a full layer of insulation above the beams and around all obstructions.
You can place all of the insulation on top of the roof cover, all of the insulation on the bottom of the roof cover, or something on the top and another on the bottom. Many homes with ventilated attics in cold climates have problems with condensation in the attic or ice accumulations on the roof, but that's because they don't seal the air and insulate properly. Just make sure to place enough insulation on the roof, to seal and insulate it properly on the outside walls, and to condition it up a little the attic. Since this is a total demolition and replacement of the roof, my roof is practically a blank slate for applying the best insulation technique that exists.
